What happened: Quarterback Tanner McKee is under center for the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football against the Washington Commanders. The game is in progress with the division rivals tied at 10-10.

Why it matters: McKee has shown the pocket presence, arm strength, and composure required of a starting quarterback under prime-time pressure. While many view him merely as an emergency option, his poise against a physical defense proves he warrants consideration for a permanent starting role. Teams across the league evaluating their quarterback situations should take notice of his capability.
