What happened: The Washington Commanders are being linked to another veteran receiver ahead of the 2026 season after that player publicly signaled openness to Washington. McLaurin enters training camp 39 yards shy of 7,000 career receiving yards.

Why it matters: His 15.3 yards per reception in 2025 shows he still delivered chunk gains despite limited availability. A newcomer could deepen the receiving group, but McLaurin's established production should define the pecking order.
