What happened: Houston signed defensive tackle Jaden Crumedy and rookie Daniel Sobkowicz to the practice squad on Wednesday. Crumedy rejoins the organization two days after he was waived when the Texans added defensive tackle Naquan Jones to the active roster.

Why it matters: The moves preserve front-seven depth for Houston while keeping a recent draft selection within the defensive system. Crumedy entered the league as a sixth-round pick by Carolina in 2024 out of Mississippi State. Sobkowicz, an Illinois State product, secures his first NFL developmental opportunity.

What to watch: Both players will begin work with the practice unit as potential game-day elevation options if injuries strike the active roster.
