What happened: Fabrizio Romano reports that Tottenham have reactivated talks to sign Savinho this summer, with initial discussions now underway. A move was on last summer before it collapsed when Manchester City decided not to sell. Romano says Savinho is open to the switch, while Newcastle are also monitoring the situation.

Why it matters: Savinho is one of City's most direct attacking options, and a sale would mark a notable squad decision after they held firm a year ago. For Tottenham, landing a young, one-on-one winger addresses a clear need and signals intent in the transfer market. It also sets up a competitive chase, with the same Savinho whose potential Pep Guardiola publicly backed now potentially available to a domestic rival.

What to watch: Watch whether initial discussions progress to formal negotiations with Manchester City, and whether Newcastle escalate from monitoring into a competing bid.
