What happened: Utah announced Trevor Lewis is returning home to join the Mammoth organization. Social context around the announcement identifies Lewis as a video scout with youth hockey duties after a long NHL playing career.

Why it matters: The move gives the Mammoth a former player with championship experience in a development and hockey-operations role as the club moves through preseason. It also adds to a busy September for the Utah Mammoth, who have kept community and rookie-program events on the calendar ahead of the season.

What to watch: Utah's next updates should show how Lewis' scouting and youth hockey work fits into the club's broader preseason build. The Mammoth also remain in their September rookie-program stretch before the full season ramps up.
