What happened: Tyrese Maxey recovered defensively to block a shot in transition. The play came during NBA Tip-Off coverage on NBC and Peacock.

Why it matters: Maxey enters the 2026-27 season off an All-NBA campaign leading Philadelphia's backcourt. Defensive stops add to his two-way value alongside the Sixers' new-look core around Joel Embiid.

What to watch: Philadelphia moves deeper into its opening-week schedule with Maxey anchoring the backcourt.
