What happened: The Minnesota Vikings elevated wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to the active roster for Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints. The veteran quickly picked up the offense and established a strong connection with quarterback Kyler Murray.

Why it matters: The promotion comes shortly after Beckham joined the practice squad. The matchup provides a homecoming opportunity for the receiver, who grew up in New Orleans.

What to watch: Beckham could see his first action for Minnesota on Sunday in his return to his hometown.
