What happened: Mike Vrabel called the receiver group a “great room” as roster evaluations continued. A.J. Brown plans to spend the weekend off resting. Adam Vinatieri entered the Pro Football Hall of Fame after playing for New England from 1996 through 2005.

Why it matters: Keeping seven receivers would create a roster tradeoff elsewhere and put added weight on special-teams value during final cuts. Vinatieri became the third full-time placekicker inducted into the Hall.
