What happened: The Vancouver Whitecaps held media availability at Swangard Stadium ahead of their upcoming Canadian Championship fixture. Midfielder Jeevan Badwal addressed reporters on Monday to discuss the venue's deep ties to both the franchise and the local community. The match marks a rare return to the club's former home pitch.

Why it matters: Playing at the historic Burnaby location connects the current MLS iteration of the team with its lower-division roots. The venue shift provides an intimate setting for the domestic knockout tournament, which is expected to draw a strong regional turnout. The familiar environment could serve as an emotional boost for the squad.

What to watch: The Whitecaps will host the quarterfinal clash at Swangard Stadium as they continue their Canadian Championship run.
