What happened: Game 6 of the WNBA Finals is set for Thursday at 12:30 p.m. at State Farm Arena. The Friday-Tuesday framework left three days between Games 5 and 6 and between Games 6 and 7. Election Night concerns and logistics around moving two Finals series further constrained the calendar.

Why it matters: The extended breaks alter rest and preparation for both Finals teams at the decisive point of the season. The afternoon start separates the Finals game from the NBA evening game with Cleveland and Atlanta playing in other cities the night before. A compressed request timeline left less room to resolve the arena and calendar conflicts.

What to watch: Game 6 tips Thursday afternoon in Atlanta, with the turnaround to a potential Game 7 now set by the extended spacing.
