What happened: Zack Wheeler stated Thursday he would be available to pitch in Tuesday's All-Star Game despite his scheduled Sunday start. The declaration serves as a public counter to the league policy that currently keeps him off the roster.

Why it matters: MLB enforces a rule that effectively renders pitchers ineligible for the exhibition if they throw two days prior. Wheeler criticized the policy this week after other arms were chosen as replacements.

What to watch: The rosters are expected to remain set as the league prepares for Tuesday's exhibition.
