What happened: San Francisco brought in Bralen Trice for a workout on Thursday via the league transaction wire, with Raheem Morris evaluating the defender after his release earlier this week. Trice had been promoted to an active roster on Oct. 17 before hitting the open market three days later.

Why it matters: San Francisco needs immediate reinforcement in its linebacker room to Having logged both defensive end and linebacker designations across practice-squad elevations and active-roster stints since September, Trice brings front-seven versatility.

What to watch: Monitor the league transaction wire to see whether San Francisco signs Trice to the practice squad or active roster alongside final weekly injury statuses for Gifford and Wallow.
