What happened: Al Hilal defeated Al Kholood in the Saudi King's Cup final, with Theo Hernández scoring the winning goal off a Karim Benzema assist. The result delivers Simone Inzaghi his first piece of silverware since taking over as head coach. Confederation accounts AFCCL and OneFootball confirmed the lift on social.

Why it matters: The cup caps a turbulent debut campaign for Inzaghi and validates the Theo–Benzema spine Al Hilal built around. It also widens the gulf at the top of Saudi football heading into the offseason, where rival Al Ittihad is losing sporting director Ramón Planes and reshuffling its front office. Domestic momentum strengthens Al Hilal's claim as the league's benchmark club.

What to watch: Watch how Al Hilal manage Theo and Benzema's workloads through the remaining Saudi Pro League fixtures and any AFC Champions League commitments. Inzaghi's contract status and summer transfer plans are the next storylines.
