Georgia with the court vision finds Kira for 2 https://t.co/DFqoBESHgC

What happened: Rookie point guard Georgia Amoore showcased her court vision in a Monday night matchup, finding center Shakira Austin for a quick two points in the paint. The play highlighted a building chemistry between the Mystics' young core in a defensive battle against the Indiana Fever.

Why it matters: The connection comes at a critical time as Washington (4-5) navigates the Commissioner's Cup schedule while monitoring injury scares for both Austin and Kiki Iriafen. Amoore, back after missing the 2025 season with an ACL tear, continues to serve as the primary engine for a Mystics roster focused on long-term development.

By the numbers: Washington fell 58-53 to Indiana, dropping their overall record to 4-5. Kiki Iriafen led the team with 24 points, while Shakira Austin contributed 7 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 blocks before being sidelined.

What to watch: The Mystics look to bounce back and stabilize their lineup as they prepare to face the expansion Toronto Tempo on Friday.
