What happened: Running back Mack connected with quarterback Jake Fette on a 1-yard touchdown pass with 11:12 left in the first half. The score capped a 10-play, 66-yard drive that took 3:48 off the clock.

Why it matters: The creative red-zone execution reinforces Arizona State's early control following an opening-drive field goal. Colorado faces mounting pressure to find answers after being limited to 12 total yards across multiple possessions.

What to watch: Colorado takes over needing a sustained response to keep the deficit manageable before halftime.
