What happened: Bauers turned the extended plate appearance into a walk that loaded the bases. Yamamoto reached 73 pitches during the sequence.

Why it matters: The free pass added pressure in a postseason Game 1 the Brewers went on to win. The Dodgers had taken the lead in the third, raising the leverage on every baserunner.

By the numbers: Bauers: 6 straight fouls, 12-pitch PA ending in walk, bases loaded. Yamamoto: 73 pitches, double-digit Ks for first postseason double-digit-K start.

What to watch: Loaded bases leave the next hitter with a chance to break the game open. Milwaukee has Chourio leading off with Yelich at DH for Game 2.
