Bills S Sam Franklin has been suspended for a game for spitting on a Raiders player. He is appealing. https://t.co/pwplh Via @AlbertBreer on X

What happened: The discipline follows Buffalo's 33-30 win over Las Vegas. It is the second one-game spitting ban to Buffalo from that game.

Why it matters: Losing another defensive back thins Buffalo's coverage rotation for the next game. Repeat bans of the same kind bring added scrutiny to the secondary.

What to watch: The appeal will decide whether he sits out Buffalo's next game.
