Bills DB Sam Franklin Jr. was suspended one game today for unsportsmanlike conduct versus the Las Vegas Raiders. Via @AdamSchefter on X

What happened: The suspension was announced Oct. 21 following Buffalo's 33-30 win at Las Vegas on Sunday. Franklin is a seventh-year defensive back who logged 13 tackles in 17 games for Buffalo in 2025.

Why it matters: Buffalo entered the weekend 4-1, so any absence stresses depth during the AFC race. Franklin's one-game loss lands on special teams and reserve defensive packages for the next game.

By the numbers: Franklin: seventh NFL season out of Temple; 13 tackles in 17 games in 2025. Buffalo entered at 4-1; beat Las Vegas 33-30.

What to watch: Franklin is eligible to return the following week. Buffalo's special-teams rotation in his absence is the near-term question.
