What happened: Bo Nix stated Wednesday that his preparation entering the game against Kansas City centers on maximizing his opportunity and talent through daily progression. The quarterback called constant improvement the only professional approach rather than staying the same.

Why it matters: The midseason remarks come during a stretch of heightened scrutiny around Bo Nix following head coach Sean Payton's October play-calling adjustment. Former quarterback Ben DiNucci also publicly questioned Nix's play on Oct. 14 after Denver dropped a 24-14 road decision at San Francisco on Oct. 5.

What to watch: Denver continues preparation for Kansas City after releasing Wednesday's initial injury report for the divisional game.
