What happened: Campbell expressed uncertainty about Branch returning during training camp. The safety tore his Achilles in December, with no setbacks reported during rehabilitation.

Why it matters: Remaining on PUP through final roster cuts would require Branch to miss at least four regular-season games. His availability will shape the secondary entering the 2026 season.

What to watch: The next marker is whether Branch returns to practice during camp or moves to reserve/PUP at final cuts.
