What happened: Cornerback Myles Harden (hamstring), center Elgton Jenkins (knee) and defensive end Jared Verse (knee) join offensive tackle Howard as expected non-participants on Cleveland's pre-practice report. Howard entered a concussion evaluation and Harden hurt his hamstring during Sunday's road game against the Tennessee Titans.

Why it matters: The absences test Cleveland's trenches on both sides of the ball as the club manages durability along the offensive interior and defensive front. Elgton Jenkins was previously ruled out for Week 4, and the front office is already surveying the edge market ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline.

By the numbers: Cleveland holds the No. 3 seed at 5-2 on a two-game winning streak after edging Tennessee 27-24 on Oct. 25.

What to watch: Official Wednesday participation levels and Thursday's practice report will clarify who can return before the weekend's final injury designations.
