What happened: The Los Angeles Chargers listed wide receiver Brenen Thompson as doubtful and offensive lineman Kayode Awosika as questionable for Sunday's matchup against Houston. Linebacker Denzel Perryman and tight end David Njoku remain designated for return from injured reserve, with Njoku limited during practice sessions this week.

Why it matters: Los Angeles sits at 0-7 in 2026 through seven games, holding the 16th seed in the AFC following a 24-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Thompson has caught one pass for 13 yards through two games, while Njoku has six catches for 67 yards across two appearances. Solidifying the lineup remains critical as the club looks to snap a seven-game slide.

What to watch: The Chargers face the Houston Texans in Week 9 on Sunday. Active rosters and game-day inactives will be confirmed 90 minutes before kickoff.
