What happened: Rookie cornerback Kenneth Harris moves from the practice squad to the active 53-man roster after being elevated for Sunday's game against the Vikings and earlier on Sept. 12. Cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt heads to injured reserve in the corresponding roster move. Indianapolis also signed third-year cornerback Natrone Brooks and cornerback Shemar Bartholomew to the practice squad.

Why it matters: The secondary reshuffle comes as Indianapolis enters Week 8 at 2-5, sitting 12th in the conference amid a three-game losing streak. Taylor-Britt, a 2022 second-round pick out of Nebraska, previously missed the 2026 season opener serving an NFL suspension. Brooks arrives three days after his Oct. 24 release by Minnesota, while Bartholomew had been a free agent since Tennessee released him on Sept. 15.

By the numbers: Indianapolis stands at 2-5 (12th in the conference) on a three-game skid entering Week 8. Harris logged two standard practice-squad elevations in 2026 (Sept. 12 and Oct. 24) before signing with the 53-man roster on Oct. 27.

What to watch: Harris joins the active cornerback rotation as the 2-5 Colts prepare for Week 8 looking to halt their three-game skid.
