We have activated WR Dont'e Thornton Jr. from the Reserved/Injured List. In a corresponding move, we have waived DT Jona Via @Raiders on X

What happened: Las Vegas activated wide receiver Dont'e Thornton Jr. to the 53-man roster Tuesday after placing him on injured reserve prior to Week 1. Defensive tackle Jonah Laulu was waived in a corresponding roster move. Thornton had already been ruled out before Sunday's matchup against the Los Angeles Rams while working back into the lineup.

Why it matters: Adding Thornton gives the Raiders another perimeter option for Week 8 after he missed the opening seven games of the regular season. Releasing Laulu, whom the Indianapolis Colts selected in the seventh round (234th overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma, parts ways with an interior lineman who logged 51 tackles and four sacks across 17 games for the club in 2025, per ESPN.

By the numbers: Las Vegas sits 10th in the conference standings at 3-4 overall and carries a four-game losing streak following its 35-21 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Oct. 25.

What to watch: Laulu now heads to the NFL waiver wire, while Thornton is eligible to make his 2026 debut in Week 8.
