What happened: Miami worked out Chris Freeman, Tanner Brown and Lucas Havrisik on Tuesday ahead of Week 3. Patterson missed a field goal in Week 1 against Las Vegas and again in the 35-13 loss to San Francisco in Week 2.

Why it matters: The misses removed points in consecutive games to open 2026. Jeff Hafley said Miami counts on Patterson to hit those field goals.

What to watch: Patterson remains on the roster with no signing from the tryout group. Week 3 accuracy will decide whether Miami makes a switch.
