What happened: The Philadelphia Eagles named Joe Milton their starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the New York Giants, benching Tanner McKee. Milton will be Philadelphia's fourth quarterback to throw a pass this season.

Why it matters: Philadelphia makes the switch following a 10-27 loss at Washington on Nov. 1 that dropped McKee to 0-3 as starter. The move elevates Milton after the Eagles carried McKee and Milton at quarterback through October. New York enters the divisional matchup fresh off a 27-21 road win over Houston.

By the numbers: In his only extended NFL action in Week 18 of the 2024 season, Milton completed 22 of 29 passes for 241 yards, one passing touchdown, one rushing score, zero interceptions, and a 111.4 passer rating.

What to watch: Milton makes his first start of the 2026 season on Sunday against New York.
