What happened: Jacob Fowler turned aside every shot he faced in Tuesday's 46-save shutout at St. Louis, while Florian Xhekaj broke through with the first NHL goal of his career.

Why it matters: Fowler made his preseason debut Oct. 8 and has already recorded two regular-season shutouts before the end of October. Xhekaj's breakthrough on the scoresheet adds immediate depth production after his name circulated in August trade chatter.

What to watch: Fowler looks to build on his early-season form in net while Xhekaj seeks to solidify a regular role as the winning streak continues.
