What happened: Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, when asked what is missing from his squad, responded cryptically: 'I know, I know it… I will NOT tell you. But I know. The players know it.' The comment came in a recent press conference and was first reported by Fabrizio Romano, quickly echoed by City Xtra and other outlets. No specifics were given on the deficiency.

Why it matters: Guardiola's unusual candor about a squad issue, while withholding details, sparks speculation on needs like a striker or midfielder amid City's pursuit of silverware. Historically, Pep's hints have preceded key signings, adding intrigue to the narrative.
