What happened: The Hockey Writers bundled four NHL story lines Friday: Connor Hellebuyck's suspension, Dylan Larkin's injury, Alexander Nikishin's status and Pavel Zacha's extension outlook. The mix puts discipline, health, availability and contract business on the same pre-camp track.

Why it matters: Any shift in availability this close to camp can change preseason planning and depth-chart decisions. Nikishin's item follows his recent trade request, and Zacha extension talk would shape longer-term roster math.

What to watch: Watch for formal updates on the suspension and injury fronts, plus any contract movement tied to Zacha. Nikishin's status remains a live file as camp draws closer.
