What happened: Jake Livanavage has been re-assigned to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League. The transaction returns the defenseman to the AHL following his recall to the NHL roster earlier in the week.

Why it matters: The reassignment adjusts Pittsburgh's active roster following the team's recent road schedule. Returning to the AHL ensures Livanavage maintains consistent playing time and defensive responsibilities in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's rotation.

What to watch: Wilkes-Barre/Scranton resumes AHL game action this weekend, where Livanavage is slated to rejoin the lineup.
