What happened: Analyst Lindsey Thiry said she is "definitely keeping an eye out for the 49ers" ahead of the NFL's Nov. 10 trade deadline. San Francisco enters the final two weeks of the trade window looking to shore up its roster after dropping a 29-20 road game to the Atlanta Falcons on Oct. 25.

Why it matters: Despite holding the No. 2 seed in the NFC at 6-1, a 49ers roster that faced key injury questions entering the season has struggled to generate consistent pass rush. San Francisco has been linked in trade talks to defensive linemen DeForest Buckner, Khalil Mack, and Montez Sweat, per Jordan Schultz and Adam Schefter, with Colts guard Quenton Nelson also surfacing as an interior target.

By the numbers: San Francisco is 6-1 (No. 2 seed, L1 streak) after falling 29-20 at Atlanta on Oct. 25, while ranking 24th in the NFL in pressure rate this season. Buckner previously played four seasons for the 49ers from 2016 through 2019.

What to watch: General manager John Lynch and the 49ers front office have until the Nov. 10 deadline to complete any deals with sellers such as Indianapolis.
