What happened: Black joined Detroit on June 17. The Lions' July camp preview listed him among 13 receivers.

Why it matters: The move adds a tight end to Detroit's preseason roster while reducing its receiver pool. It also ends Black's bid for a 2026 roster spot with the Lions.

By the numbers: Black recorded 27 catches for 388 yards and three touchdowns across nine games before joining Detroit.

What to watch: Muse's preseason usage will clarify his place in Detroit's tight-end competition.
