What happened: Washington Commanders quarterback Marcus Mariota headed to the locker room during Sunday's game. The team remains hopeful that injured starter Jayden Daniels can return as early as next week.

Why it matters: Mariota has been starting in place of Daniels for Washington. The Commanders currently lead the Indianapolis Colts 6-0 while the matchup is in progress.

What to watch: Washington will navigate the remainder of Sunday's game with its depth under center while evaluating Daniels' status ahead of next week.
