What happened: Townsville's Marie Gülich left Tuesday night's game against the Bendigo Spirit during the third quarter and went under evaluation by club medical staff. Her departure occurred in the same period that Courtney Woods scored 14 points.

Why it matters: The injury further tests depth in a matchup where Marianna Tolo was already ruled out with an Achilles concern. Gülich returned from a May 2025 ACL injury prior to the WNBL27 campaign, earning Player of the Game honors for Germany against South Korea in September.

What to watch: Townsville's medical staff will determine Gülich's availability for the remainder of Round 2 following her evaluation.
