What happened: Mike Silver criticized the NFL's response to Jalen Hurts' blood-clot absence while also highlighting Brian Flores' coaching success. Hurts was ruled out on Friday ahead of Week 6 after the medical issue surfaced.

Why it matters: The quarterback's absence has sparked debate across the league over how his health status and availability were communicated. Holding off on a formal roster placement leaves his return timeline open during the 2026 regular season.

What to watch: Further medical evaluations and clearance benchmarks will determine when Hurts can return to practice.
