What happened: Nebraska's scoring struggles have mounted in Big Ten play since the program opened the 2026 season 3-0 ahead of its conference opener against Michigan State. Former Husker defensive lineman Adam Carriker highlighted the unit's ongoing issues sustaining drives on Tuesday.

Why it matters: Failing to convert possession downs has forced the defense onto the field for extended stretches against conference competition. Stabilizing the passing attack after a mid-game quarterback change against Oregon is essential to halting the midseason slide in the Big Ten standings.

What to watch: Nebraska continues preparation this week for its upcoming conference matchup against Washington.
