What happened: Denver waived guard Lonnie Walker IV before the 2026-27 season, ending a brief camp stint on a one-year deal in August. Walker was on a non-guaranteed contract and hired agent Misko Raznatovic. Raznatovic is now expected to seek an overseas opportunity for Walker.

Why it matters: The move frees a roster spot and removes non-guaranteed money as Denver sets its opening-night group. It leaves the Nuggets to sort wing depth behind their core rotation. For Walker, a job abroad offers regular minutes after failing to stick in Denver.

What to watch: Denver's next roster decisions will show whether the open spot goes to another wing or stays open. Walker's search abroad will determine where he plays next.
