What happened: The Pacers waived 17-year veteran James Johnson alongside Keba Keita and Rienk Mast on Saturday.

Why it matters: The moves trim the roster at the close of the 2026-27 preseason slate. Keita and Mast had both logged preseason action with the club before the cuts.

What to watch: All three players hit the NBA waiver wire as teams finalize Opening Night rosters.
