What happened: Carolina Panthers team captains publicly affirmed that the locker room remains together amid recent organizational changes. The leadership stance comes after head coach Dave Canales cited urgency in restructuring his staff following Carolina's 27-19 loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Why it matters: Carolina remains in contention in the NFC South at 3-4, but back-to-back losses have heightened the stakes around team stability. Preserving chemistry among leaders is critical as the roster adapts to midseason staff adjustments ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline.

What to watch: The Panthers look to halt their two-game slide in Week 9 while operating under modified defensive leadership.
