Fills critical O-line void. Video

What happened: Carolina Panthers picked offensive tackle Monroe Freeling from Georgia with the 19th overall selection in the 2026 NFL Draft. The move, reported by RapSheet, targets a glaring team need. Freeling, a 6'6" 325-pound prospect, slides slightly from pre-draft projections.

Why it matters: Panthers ranked 29th in pass block win rate last season, allowing 52 sacks. Freeling's addition stabilizes the line, aiding QB protection and run support.

By the numbers: { "draft_pick": 19, "position": "OT", "college": "Georgia", "panthers_2025_record": "4-13", "panthers_sacks_allowed": 52, "freeling_2025_stats": "12 starts, 2 sacks allowed, 85.2 PFF grade", "win_total_odds_movement": " .5 to 6.5 over) }

What to watch: Panthers pick next at No. 52 in Round 2; target WR or EDGE. Watch Freeling's rookie minicamp reps.
