What happened: Safety Mike Brown, linebackers Erick Hunter, Darius Muasau and Namdi Obiazor, and tight end Cameron Latu were charted on all four Patriots special-teams units in Week 8, per Mike Reiss. The charting counts first units to take the field and highlights players whose primary contributions come in the kicking game.

Why it matters: The same five were on all four core units in Week 7, so the core group held through the Patriots' 24-19 win at Miami on Nov. 1. Latu and Muasau arrived from other clubs, San Francisco and the Giants respectively; Brown and Hunter are rookies.

By the numbers: Tackles in 2026: Muasau 14 through 8 games, Hunter 10 through 7 games, Brown 9 through 6 games, Latu 4 through 8 games.

What to watch: The Week 9 chart will show whether the same five hold all four units.
