What happened: Safety Elliott Davison is returning to New England on the practice squad after clearing waivers. The rookie defensive back remained in town to finalize the move after being waived on Nov. 2.

Why it matters: The transaction preserves secondary depth for New England as the team sits at 5-3 through eight games in the AFC playoff race. Davison provides defensive backfield familiarity after previously spending time on both the active roster and practice unit.

What to watch: New England continues preparations for Week 10 following its 24-19 victory over Miami. Davison remains eligible for standard game-day elevations from the practice squad.
