Penix: This is the third ACL. We're not taking it lightly. #Falcons Via @marcraimondi on X

What happened: Michael Penix Jr. remains limited to individual work after November surgery on a partially torn left ACL. He has not been cleared for full-team periods at training camp.

Why it matters: The restriction delays Atlanta's evaluation of its quarterback competition and cuts into installation time during camp. Tua Tagovailoa's tight back has further reduced the available quarterback workload.

By the numbers: This is Penix's third ACL surgery in eight years; the previous two were on his right knee, while November's procedure repaired his left ACL.

What to watch: Watch for medical clearance and his first 11-on-11 reps.
