What happened: Michael Penix Jr. grew up in Dade City near Tampa, Florida, without rooting for the local NFL franchise. Speaking ahead of Atlanta's divisional road trip, the quarterback remarked, "I was never a Bucs fan.

Why it matters: Sunday's game brings Penix back to the Tampa Bay area for the first time in an Atlanta Falcons uniform. Both NFC South clubs are looking to gain ground ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline, with Atlanta recently activating cornerback A.J. Terrell Jr. from injured reserve.

What to watch: Atlanta visits Tampa Bay on Sunday, where the Falcons defense will also prepare for Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield.
