Rams place Justin Dedich on NFI, Al’zillion Hamilton on PUP

Both can return after passing camp requirements

Wire Report IntelligenceUpdated Jul 261 min read

What happened: Los Angeles opened training camp with Dedich, a reserve offensive lineman, on the non-football injury list and Hamilton, a cornerback, on the physically unable to perform list. Each can be activated during camp.

Why it matters: Dedich would miss at least six weeks if he remains on NFI through the 53-man roster deadline. Hamilton would miss at least four games if he is not activated from PUP by that deadline.

By the numbers: Thirteen NFC West players are now on PUP: five from Seattle, four from San Francisco, three from Arizona and one from Los Angeles.

What to watch: Their activation status bears watching before the Rams set their initial 53-man roster.
