What happened: Benjamin Allbright reported Wednesday that teams have placed calls on Anthony Richardson, Tua Tagovailoa, Dillon Gabriel and J.J. McCarthy with varying levels of interest. The Indianapolis Colts have publicly backed Richardson and indicated they plan to carry three quarterbacks.

Why it matters: Daniel Jones holds the starting job while Richardson competes with rookie Riley Leonard for the backup role. Richardson's unresolved trade request leaves Indianapolis to balance quarterback depth against any return offered before the season.

What to watch: Watch whether an offer changes the Colts' position as teams finalize their 53-man rosters.
