What happened: Tyler Shough completed a 50-yard pass down the middle to rookie wide receiver Barion Brown on 1st-and-10 during Sunday's NFL Network broadcast against Pittsburgh. The reception advanced the New Orleans offense to the Pittsburgh 33-yard line.

Why it matters: New Orleans selected Shough 40th overall in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft out of Louisville before taking Brown 190th overall in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL Draft out of LSU (as of Sept. 29, 2026). Brown, who turned his sixth-round selection into early training camp buzz, gives the passing attack a downfield target in the 2026 regular season.

By the numbers: Shough recorded 16 completions on 27 attempts with three passing touchdowns and a 110.7 passer rating in Sunday's game, per PFF.

What to watch: New Orleans and Pittsburgh continue their 2026 regular-season contest on NFL Network.
