What happened: The San Antonio Missions, the Double-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres, unveiled their new alternate identity as the San Antonio Breakfast Tacos for the 2027 season. The club will wear the specialty uniforms during a three-game series from April 16-18.

Why it matters: Minor league franchises regularly adopt regional culinary identities for weekend series to drive community engagement and merchandise sales. The Breakfast Tacos moniker embraces a signature cultural staple of San Antonio ahead of the team's upcoming promotional slate.
