What happened: Thursday marked a second straight missed session for Barkley in Week 6 preparation. Philadelphia hosts Carolina on Sunday already without Jalen Hurts.

Why it matters: Philadelphia has dropped three straight to fall to 2-3 with the league's 30th-ranked offense by EPA per play. An absence in the backfield would leave a shorthanded offense without its starting quarterback and top rusher.

By the numbers: Barkley ran 280 times for 1,140 yards and 7 touchdowns across 16 games in 2025. Philadelphia is 2-3 through five weeks after a walk-off loss to Jacksonville.

What to watch: Final participation and game designations Friday will determine Sunday availability.
