What happened: The Thursday transaction shifts defensive end Sebastian Joseph-Day off the active lineup during the 2026 NFL regular season.

Why it matters: Moving a veteran defender to the injured list opens an active roster spot while requiring rotation adjustments along the defensive front.

What to watch: Subsequent transaction wire updates will show which depth defender fills the open roster slot.
